Job Description
As the core promoter of HelloRide's relationship with the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, you will be responsible for building, maintaining and deepening strategic partnerships with various government agencies, statutory bodies, legislative and consultation channels in Hong Kong. This position is aimed at securing a wider development space for the company's micro-circular transportation (bicycles) main business in Hong Kong through efficient government-business communication and public policy advocacy. You will directly help to expand business investment, promote industry standards and policy optimization, and better integrate green and convenient smart transportation into the Hong Kong public transportation system.
Main work responsibilities
Government communication and network construction
Responsible for establishing and maintaining long-term strategic communication mechanisms with the core departments of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (including but not limited to the Transport Department, the Housing Department, the Health Department, etc.), the District Councils, the Legislative Council and its relevant members and their offices, as well as the various Regional Development Committees. Represent the company in participating in government-led public consultations, hearings and industry seminars, and actively advocate the positive value of smart shared mobility on Hong Kong's urban traffic microcirculation.
Policy lobbying and quota optimization
Closely follow Hong Kong's policy dynamics in smart cities, green transportation, sustainable development, and urban planning.
Push for the integration of shared bicycles into Hong Kong's public transportation (MaaS) top-level design, and strive for more pilot projects and compliant deployment quotas.
Community and regional councils deepen their roots
Public relations and crisis prevention
Coordinate with public relations and legal teams to handle sensitive events involving government attention, media supervision or public complaints, ensure that the company's communication tone meets the legal and social cultural expectations of Hong Kong, and maintain a good corporate public image.
Qualifications for employment
Core resource requirements:
Applicants with deep local government, parliamentary or public affairs resources, and a good and direct communication record with the Transport Department, Housing Department, District Council, Legislative Council or relevant Consultative Committees are preferred.
Professional background:
Have more than 5 years of experience in Hong Kong's government relations (GR), public affairs (PA) or public policy advocacy; those with public transportation, shared mobility, logistics or smart city-related industry government affairs experience are preferred.
Applicants who have directly participated in Hong Kong local public policy lobbying, parliamentary proposal follow-up or large-scale government tenders/access application projects are preferred.
Identity and cultural background:
Priority will be given to Hong Kong local residents, with a deep understanding of the operation mechanism, legislative procedures, district council ecology and local political culture of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government.
Exceptional strategic thinking skills and public relations acumen, able to seek win-win solutions in complex stakeholder environments.
Outstanding oral and written communication skills in Chinese (Cantonese, Mandarin) and English, with a particular talent for writing high-quality government submissions, consultation letters and policy recommendations.
