Job Overview
As the President/Vice President (specific title to be determined based on the candidate’s qualifications and experience), you will report directly to the Founder & CEO. The ideal candidate will possess deep insights into the payment industry and have hands-on experience in building or optimizing large-scale payment platforms from the ground up. You will lead the team, drive product innovation, align direction with business goals, and position the company as a frontrunner in the global fintech competition.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead strategic planning and execution in digital payments and tokenized asset payment solutions.
2. Collaborate with HKMA (Hong Kong Monetary Authority) and partners (major banks, exchanges, etc.) to drive the commercialization of digital currency payments.
3. Design and manage payment system architecture to deliver secure, compliant, and user-friendly digital asset payment solutions.
4. Pioneer blockchain and distributed ledger technology (DLT)-driven payment innovations to enhance competitiveness in the virtual asset ecosystem.
5. Manage cross-functional teams (Technology, Compliance, Marketing, Operations) to accelerate the growth of digital asset and payment businesses.
6. Monitor market trends and regulatory policies to ensure compliance with Hong Kong and international regulations.
Requirements
1. Industry Experience & Strategic Leadership
· Core Requirements:
o 5+ years of experience in the payments industry, with direct involvement in digital payments, tokenized assets, or virtual assets. Experience in leading 0-to-1 payment platform development or large-scale system optimization.
o 3+ years in C-level executive roles (e.g., CTO, Technology President, VP Engineering), directly managing 20+ cross-functional teams, with proven ability to formulate and execute long-term technical strategies.
o Strategic Vision: Ability to translate technical capabilities into commercial value, e.g., leveraging blockchain innovation to enhance payment efficiency or expand market reach.
2. Technical Expertise & Innovation Execution
· Core Requirements:
o Blockchain & DLT Implementation: Hands-on experience in deploying blockchain-based payment solutions (e.g., Ethereum, Hyperledger), including familiarity with smart contracts and cross-chain interoperability.
o Regulatory Compliance Integration: Proven track record in designing payment solutions compliant with Hong Kong and international regulations (e.g., AML, PSV Ordinance), and expertise in security protocols (e.g., Tokenization, PCI-DSS).
3. Regulatory Collaboration & Ecosystem Resources
· Core Requirements:
o Regulatory Engagement: Experience collaborating with HKMA, SFC, or other regulators to advance payment or digital asset projects. In-depth knowledge of Hong Kong’s VASP licensing requirements and cross-border payment compliance frameworks.
o Financial Institution Partnerships: Established relationships with major banks (e.g., HSBC, Standard Chartered), exchanges (e.g., HashKey), or cross-border payment networks (e.g., SWIFT GPI).
o Ecosystem Network: Access to payment technology vendors, compliance service providers, or virtual asset ecosystem partners to accelerate commercialization.
4. Cross-Functional Management & Market Insight
· Core Requirements:
o Cross-Team Leadership: Expertise in coordinating technology, compliance, marketing, and operations teams. Experience in agile development to drive rapid business iteration.
o Market Acumen: Continuous monitoring of global payment trends (e.g., CBDCs, stablecoins) and virtual asset policy shifts (e.g., FATF Travel Rule), with ability to formulate adaptive strategies.
o User-Centric Focus: Success in optimizing payment product UX, such as streamlining KYC processes or improving transaction success rates.
5. Education & Soft Skills
· Core Requirements:
o Educational Background: Master’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Fintech, or related fields. Knowledge of financial engineering is a plus.
o Language Proficiency: Fluent in English and Chinese (Mandarin required), with ability to represent the company in global teams, regulatory dialogues, and partner negotiations.
