Job Description
Responsibilities:
To perform daily system health checking, monitoring & testing to ensure high availability all trading systems including OMS, EMS, connectivity, algo engine and Middle Office systems
Responsible for regional day-to-day support activities to support business users in HK office and regional offices
To perform analysis, development, testing and implementation of new clients connections for various system
To deploy change or perform post-change health check in a well-controlled and prudent manner
Coordinate/Liaise with business owners and IT on issue follow-up and to agree on priorities and schedules
Conduct feasibility studies and impact analysis on possible system solutions and propose clear choices for business consideration
Update ticket status and documents regularly in SerivceNow and Sharepoint
To coordinate with Exchange on different projects and meet compliance requirements by attending market rehearsals
Assist business users by coordinating with other IT teams on any change and incident on IT infrastructure and core project
Weekend work is required and out of office hour supported is required
Qualifications
At least 5 years working experience in Investment Banking or Financial firms or Brokage Trading with relevant exposure to support of Equities Trading Applications, Electronic Exchange connectivity, FIX client connectivity, DMA and Algo trading;
Technical knowledge on supporting Fidessa, Flextrade, Ullink (Broadridge), FIX, market data are required; Familiar with various system monitoring tools;
Market knowledge on Equity Cash Trading of major Asian exhcanges and understanding on different order flow
Practical & hands on experience in Front Desk Support in sizable Securities Brokerage / Trading company, familiarity with IT solution delivery processes
In-depth knowledge of FIX messaging protocol from client and exchange perspective and be able to conduct client testing
Good knowledge and skills on Windows, UNIX, Linux, Sybase, MSSQL database
Understanding on change management and incident management process
Experience in supporting traders is a pre-requisite for this role
