Job Title: Private Credit Department / Vice President to Director (VP/D)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a private credit specialist (VP to Director level) with commercial acumen and execution skills for our Hong Kong team. This is a front-office position, with a strong sales and trading orientation, covering business development, trade execution and loan distribution, and involving various private credit strategies.

Ideal candidates should have experience in actually leading complex credit transaction structures and executions, as well as developing business opportunities and distributing loan assets to banks, institutional investors and private credit funds, with particular familiarity with the Asia-Pacific and international capital markets.

Main responsibilities:

1. Business Development

  • Proactively discover and develop private lending opportunities in various industries, including corporate financing, infrastructure construction, and special situation financing.

  • Establish and maintain long-term relationships with corporate clients, financial sponsors (such as private equity funds) and intermediary institutions (such as consultants, broker-dealers).

  • Identify customer financing needs and propose tailor-made structural credit solutions.

2. Trading structure and execution

  • Design and execute various transactions, including project financing, acquisition financing, leveraged buyout (LBO), subordinated debt, convertible instruments and other structured credit products.

  • Lead a full transaction process: due diligence, financial modeling, credit analysis, document preparation, and closing.

  • Negotiate the main terms, covenant restrictions, and collateral arrangements with customers and trading counterparties.

  • Coordinate internal teams and external consultants (legal, tax, technical, etc.), ensure transactions are smoothly completed.

3. Loan distribution and syndicated loans

  • Lead or assist loan syndication and distribution, including banks, institutional investors and private credit funds.

  • Establish and maintain close relationships with distribution channels and investors.

  • Manage the initial syndicated loan process and, if necessary, support secondary loan transactions.

  • Provide market feedback, including pricing, investor preferences, and structural optimization suggestions.

Entry Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree, majoring in finance, economics, accounting or related fields.

  • 6 to 15 years of private credit, structured financing, leveraged financing or syndicated loan experience.

  • Welcome candidates from banks, investment banks or non-bank financial institutions (such as financial companies, family offices, credit funds)

  • Have complete credit transaction development, execution and distribution experience.

  • In the following one or more fields, there are good records:

    • Project financing

    • Acquisition/merger financing

    • Leverage buyout (LBO) financing

    • Subordinated debt financing

    • Convertible tools

  • Thoroughly understand credit risk, legal documents and financing structures.

  • Preference will be given to those with Hong Kong and international networks with banks, institutional investors and private credit funds.

  • Have excellent financial modeling, analysis, and negotiation skills.

  • Excellent communication and customer handling skills, fluent in Chinese and English (including Cantonese, Mandarin and English) are preferred.

Position Title: Private Credit, Vice President / Director (VP/D)

Position Overview:

We are looking for a commercially astute and execution-oriented Private Credit professional at the VP to Director level to join our Hong Kong team. This is a front-office, sell-side role focusing on origination, transaction execution, and loan distribution across a range of private credit strategies.

The ideal candidate has proven experience in structuring and executing complex credit transactions, as well as originating deals and distributing loans to banks, institutional investors, and private credit funds — with a solid understanding of Asia and global capital markets.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Origination

  • Source and originate private credit opportunities across sectors, including corporate finance, infrastructure, and special situations.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with corporate clients, financial sponsors (e.g., PE firms), and intermediaries (e.g., advisors, brokers).

  • Identify client financing needs and propose customized structured credit solutions.

2. Structuring & Execution

  • Structure and execute transactions including project finance, acquisition finance, leveraged buyouts (LBO), mezzanine financing, convertible instruments, and other structured credit products.

  • Lead end-to-end deal execution: due diligence, financial modeling, credit analysis, documentation, and closing.

  • Negotiate key terms, covenants, and security packages with clients and counterparties.

  • Coordinate with internal teams and external advisors (legal, tax, technical) to ensure smooth execution.

3. Loan Distribution & Syndication

  • Lead or support loan syndication and distribution to banks, institutional investors, and private credit funds.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with distribution channels and investors.

  • Manage primary syndication processes and support secondary loan trading where applicable.

  • Provide market feedback on pricing, investor appetite, and structural enhancements.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.

  • 6 to 15 years of relevant experience in private credit, structured finance, leveraged finance, or loan syndication.

  • Candidates from banks, investment banks, or non-bank financial institutions (e.g., finance companies, family offices, credit funds) are all welcome.

  • Proven experience across origination, execution, and distribution of credit transactions.

  • A strong track record in one or more of the following:

    • Project finance

    • Acquisition / M&A financing

    • Leveraged buyout (LBO) financing

    • Mezzanine financing

    • Convertible instruments

  • Solid understanding of credit risk, legal documentation, and financing structures.

  • An established network with banks, institutional investors, and private credit funds in Hong Kong and internationally is highly preferred.

  • Strong financial modeling, analytical, and negotiation skills.

  • Excellent communication and client-facing abilities. Fluency in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin is a plus.
