Main responsibilities
Coordinate the UNIX infrastructure project for data centers and hosting centers in the Asia-Pacific region and start work a. Server capacity planning and deployment
b. System configuration, customization, optimization and upgrade
c. System recovery strategy and implementation
Reduce delays and thereby improve traders’ execution rates.
Reduce the number and severity of system-related events
Automatically patch UNIX to meet the group's IT security standards
Basic technical knowledge/skills
Thoroughly understand RedHat/Linux operating system
Use ArcSight, CyberArk, Centrify, etc. IT security and SSO tools -- priority
RedHat Satellite System Patch Tool
Rich knowledge of IBM and HP Blade, p series, i series and x series architectures
Able to write scripts using common management languages (shell, perl, python, etc.)
Familiar with stock and high-frequency trading (HFT) business on 10 Gigabit Ethernet technology
Provide production support for critical Linux server platforms in a fast-paced environment
Provide direct user support and handle system-related requests at the front desk trading hall
Server x86 hardware and Linux performance tuning and monitoring
Perform operations system/server configuration, standardization, and policy control based on the region
Need to provide support services on early shifts, holidays, and weekends
Occasionally travel to the Asia-Pacific region for data center projects

Experience in using Linux / RHEL for system administration in a transactional or business application environment
In-depth understanding of operating systems, processes, and the kernel
Familiar with x86 hardware, server network peripherals and data center settings
Proficient in scripting languages (Bash, Python, Perl) and system tools, able to quickly develop solutions
Provide X Windows, Linux desktop software, and end-user device support to local and remote users
Able to provide balanced and high-quality advice, analysis and guidance to application teams and business users on issues and requests
Excellent time management skills
Specific qualification requirements
Information technology-related professional degree, preferably holding a RHEL certificate
At least 7 years of IT work experience, with at least 5 years of UNIX SA or Engineer experience
At least 3 years of multinational IT environment work experience, with a deep background in service delivery and production support of critical systems
Have strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to interact efficiently with team members, other support teams and remote technical personnel (such as remote technical personnel)
Applicants with investment banking experience will be given priority
Fluent in English
