Job Description
- Systematically tutor listening, speaking, reading and writing four core skills to meet the English learning needs of Hong Kong associate degree students, and enhance their academic English application ability and test performance.
- Regularly assess learning progress through simulated tests, assignment grading, and one-on-one feedback, helping students clarify weaknesses and develop improvement strategies.
- Guide academic writing standards, including paragraph structure, citation format (APA/MLA), logical connection and formal language use, and strengthen the written expression skills needed in university.
- Create an interactive and encouraging classroom atmosphere that prompts students to actively participate in discussions, debates, and presentation activities, and cultivate critical thinking and cross-cultural communication awareness.
- Hold a total IELTS score of 6.5 or above (with no individual band score below 6.0), demonstrating excellent English listening, speaking, reading and writing skills and standard pronunciation; accept the provision of official test results for verification.
- Have teaching experience in English, familiar with the Hong Kong Associate Degree or Diploma Education System; those with IELTS, TOEFL or local DSE English tutoring experience are preferred.
- Master basic language teaching methods, and be able to flexibly apply task-based teaching (TBLT), content-based teaching (CBI), etc. to improve learning outcomes.
- Have good communication skills and patience, be able to adjust teaching pace according to different learning styles, and build trust relationships with students.
