AWS Tech Lead - Cloud Migration (Overseas)

Seeking an experienced Technical Lead in Hong Kong to spearhead our AWS Cloud Migration project, with a focus on frontend digital portal migration.

As the Technical Lead, you will play a crucial role in driving the successful transition of our digital infrastructure to the AWS Cloud platform, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance of our frontend applications.

Role Overview:

• Lead the technical aspect of AWS Cloud migration of on-premises applications and infrastructure to AWS cloud.
• Develop and implement cloud migration strategies and roadmaps
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize migration targets and establish project timelines
• Conduct thorough assessments of existing systems and applications to determine migration feasibility and approach
• Design and architect cloud-based solutions that align with business objectives and best practices
• Ensure adherence to security, compliance, and governance standards in the cloud environment
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members throughout the migration process
• Stay updated on the latest AWS services and features to optimize cloud solutions
• Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to gather requirements and manage expectations
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues that arise during the migration process

Ideal Profile:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• 10+ years of experience in Software Development and cloud technologies
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with AWS services and architecture
• 5+ year of experience with Server and Frontend technologies ( e.g. Java, ReactJS, PostgreSQL)
• Proven experience leading cloud migration projects, particularly in frontend application migration
• In-depth knowledge of AWS services is a must and best practices for cloud architecture
• Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and serverless computing
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication and leadership abilities
• AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect) are a plus
• Proficient in written and spoken both English and Chinese
