Laboratory Assistant/ Laboratory Technician

Job Description

• Perform testing and inspection according with established SOPs and with minimal supervision.

• Assist in laboratory-related tasks such as logging and statistical analysis.

• Proficient in statistical analysis relevant to method validation, including uncertainty estimation and data quality assessment.

• Support the Implementation ISO/IEC 17025 and HOKLAS requirements in the laboratory

• Operate analytical instruments and conduct calibration and routine maintenance work.

• Prepare testing standards, working solutions and reagents based on SOP

• Handle duties including inventory control of tools and glassware, environmental monitoring, and other laboratory support tasks.

• Undertake any other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Degree or above in Chemistry/ Analytical Science/ Environmental Science or other relevant disciplines

• Minimum 3 year’s relevant experiences, with 1-2 years ‘s experience in laboratory supervision and operation is a plus

• Knowledge of HOKLAS requirement and ISO/IEC17025

• Experience with analytical instruments such as ICP and XRF is highly desirable.

• Hardworking, self‑motivated, and able to perform well under pressure.

• Proficient in PC operation with strong skills in MS Word and Excel.

• Good command of written and spoken English and Cantonese.

• Demonstrates a positive attitude with strong problem‑solving abilities.

• Candidates with less experience may be considered for the position of Laboratory Technician

• Immediately available is highly preferred.
