Data Center Operator

<p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li><p>Provide 24 x 7 Data Centre Operation Support Services in the Server Rooms, Communication Rooms.</p></li><li><p>Act as first line of support, control accesses, security and key management for all entities in/out the in-scope venue facilities.</p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Floor/Rack space capacity management and inventory update (rack space, power consumption, rack level power source, cooling).</p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Pro-active monitor on the IT equipment operation environment and equipment status. Report incident and follow up in case pre-set thresholds reach.</p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Provide remote hands to support to incident and change (including consumable parts installation and removal).</p></li></ul><ul><li><p>CCTV and IT system monitoring & creation of tickets.</p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Incident management related to Data Centre Operations (including incidents introduced by building facilities like City main, CRAC, chiller plan, PDU, etc.).</p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Tape offsite management, Operations room, Staging and storeroom management, record and control.</p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Escorting service - Provide physical escort service or remote hands & feet support for incident and approved change management related requests (including consumable parts installation and removal)</p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Oversee the installation / un-installation of IT equipment and ensure CX DCO practice and process are followed</p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Work with vendor and facilities management to manage IT facilities preventative maintenance activities</p></li></ul><p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p><ul><li><p>Preferably 1-3 years relevant working experience in data centres / field service support.</p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Good interpersonal, communication, problem solving skills and able to work under pressure.</p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Self-motivated and able to take up challenges.</p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Proficient in English and Chinese.</p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Immediately available is preferred.</p></li></ul>
