<p><strong>Position Title: Data Center Project Manager</strong></p><p><strong>Location : Hong Kong</strong></p><p></p><p><strong>Why does this Role exist:</strong></p><p>The Project Manager will be responsible for the project developments in APAC regions including, Hong</p><p>Kong, Singapore, China, Indonesia, Taiwan and other countries. He will be a critical part of the Central</p><p>Design & Construction team, ensuring all new data center projects are delivered on time, within</p><p>budget, quality, and scope.</p><p>What do we basically expect from you: To have a Passion for project management, design and</p><p>construction in datacenter space.</p><p></p><p><strong>What would you expected to do:</strong></p><p>* Establish project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards within</p><p>boundaries of corporate policies. Put these in clear concise work statement for the field</p><p>* Negotiate and supervise the preparation of all change orders on the project</p><p>* Maintain all logs required to track the progress of the project</p><p>* Maintain liaison with prime client and A/E to facilitate construction activities</p><p>* Monitor construction activities in conjunction with the onsite Project Manager and Area</p><p>Superintendent to ensure project is being built on schedule, and within budgets</p><p>* Investigate any potentially serious situations and implement corrective measures within</p><p>company guidelines, and under supervision</p><p>* Represent company/project in meetings with client, subcontractors, etc.</p><p>* Create Project schedule (Microsoft Project), and prepare 3 weeks lookahead schedule and</p><p>monthly schedule update</p><p>* Manage financial aspects of contracts (progress billing, rental equipment, income/expenses)</p><p>to protect the company's interest and simultaneously maintain good relationship with the</p><p>client</p><p>* The duties and responsibilities are intended to describe the general nature and scope of</p><p>work being performed by this position. This is not a complete listing and other duties will be</p><p>assigned based on the position’s role within the business unit.</p><p>* Develop high-quality project proposal and plan based on the business requirements and</p><p>available project resources.</p><p>* Direct and coordinate activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on</p><p>schedule and within the prescribes budget of resources.</p><p>* Track ETA delivery of equipment and services from Telco/Data Centers, Public Cloud</p><p>Providers and ICT Principles/Distributors.</p><p>* Provide regular reports on project progress for stakeholders and management and update</p><p>schedules on plans when required.</p><p>* Serve as an escalation point for any service impacted incidents and help with ad-hoc</p><p>requests to provide optimal user experience to BU.</p><p>* Communicate with stakeholder for vendor management, maintenance of documents and to</p><p>report on project progress.</p><p></p><p><strong>Educational Qualifications and Experience needed for this Job:</strong></p><p>* Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Project Management field</p><p>A. What Really Catches our eye:</p><p>* Minimum of 8 years of experience in engineering consultancy or data center operation.</p><p>* Chartered or is a Licensed Professional Engineer an advantage.</p><p>* Solid experience in:</p><p>1. Data Center Basic Concept and Understandings Live data center modification</p><p>2. Greenfield and Brownfield site developments</p><p>* Able to deliver projects within cost, quality and time parameters.</p><p>* Strong stakeholder management capabilities, and strategic mindset to advise and manage</p><p>both internal and external partners.</p><p>* Self-motivated. Adaptable. Good communication skills.</p><p>* Experienced in leading multi discipline teams to deliver projects.</p><p>* Be disciplined manager assigning and reviewing tasks</p><p>* Presentable and confident in client facing.</p><p>* Able to travel occasionally (around 20% of time)</p><p>* Experiences in working in different countries / global exposure is an advantage.</p>
