QA/ Testing Engineer ($18-23K)

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive QA/Testing Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our software applications through rigorous testing and validation processes. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute test cases, test plans, and test scripts for new and existing software applications.

• Perform manual and/or automated testing of web, mobile, or desktop applications.

• Identify, document, and track defects and issues using bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA).

• Collaborate with development and product teams to understand requirements and resolve defects.

• Participate in requirements and design reviews to provide input on testability and quality.

• Perform regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing.

• Maintain and improve automated test frameworks (if automation is in scope).

• Prepare and present test reports, documenting test results and quality metrics.

• Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes and practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

• Proven experience as a QA/Testing Engineer or similar role.

• Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies.

• Experience with manual testing; automation experience is a plus (e.g., Selenium, QTP, Appium).

• Familiarity with bug tracking and test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail).

• Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript) is an advantage.

• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
