Laboratory Assistant

Comparative Medical Research Center hires: Laboratory Assistant (Cleaning Area) (Employed on a one-year temporary contract or a two-year contract; if work performance is satisfactory, a renewal can be obtained)

The Comparative Medicine Research Center is a department under the Li Ka Shing School of Medicine at the University of Hong Kong that is dedicated to improving animal welfare and providing high-quality animals to promote scientific research. The center is mainly responsible for breeding, raising, and caring for experimental animals.

Responsibilities:

• Cleaning and disinfecting cages

• Local cleaning

• Delivery personnel/researchers and animals

Working hours: Monday to Friday 8:45 – 17:00, Saturday 8:45 – 12:15 (long and short weeks)

Qualifications:

• Second 5 or above, good Cantonese and simple English

• Positive attitude, good communication and coping skills

• Responsibility, patience, seriousness, and attention to detail

• Have a light-duty truck driver's license

• Applicants with relevant work experience will be given priority
