<p><strong>Scope of Responsibilities</strong></p><p>The Desktop Support Engineer is tasked with delivering technical assistance and maintenance for desktop systems, laptops, peripherals, and associated software. Core responsibilities include:</p><ol><li><p><strong>Hardware and Software Management:</strong> Installing, configuring, and maintaining desktop hardware and software systems.</p></li><li><p><strong>Problem Resolution:</strong> Diagnosing and rectifying issues related to hardware, software, and network functionality.</p></li><li><p><strong>End-User Support:</strong> Offering technical assistance to users both remotely and on-site.</p></li><li><p><strong>Device Setup:</strong> Preparing and configuring new computers and peripherals.</p></li><li><p><strong>Meeting Setup Assistance:</strong> Supporting physical and virtual meeting arrangements, including platforms like Zoom and Microsoft Teams.</p></li><li><p><strong>System Security:</strong> Ensuring secure and reliable system operations by deploying and managing antivirus and EDR solutions.</p></li><li><p><strong>Updates and Backups:</strong> Conducting routine system updates, patches, and data backups.</p></li><li><p><strong>Asset Tracking:</strong> Keeping records of hardware and software inventory.</p></li><li><p><strong>Documentation:</strong> Logging support activities and solutions in a ticketing system.</p></li><li><p><strong>Project Support:</strong> Contributing to IT projects as needed.</p></li></ol><p>Ideal applicants should fulfill the following criteria:</p><p><strong>Educational Background</strong></p><ul><li><p>Possess a Higher Diploma or above in Computer-related disciplines.</p></li></ul><p><strong>Professional Experience</strong></p><ul><li><p>At least 2–3 years in desktop support or a similar capacity, preferably within a large-scale organization.</p></li></ul><p><strong>Technical Expertise</strong></p><ul><li><p>Proficient in Windows OS platforms.</p></li><li><p>Well-versed in Microsoft Office 365 Suite and other standard software tools.</p></li><li><p>Skilled in diagnosing and repairing hardware issues.</p></li><li><p>Competent in managing computer setups and configurations within SCCM and EDR frameworks.</p></li><li><p>Acquainted with networking protocols, such as TCP/IP, and fundamental networking concepts.</p></li><li><p>Experienced in configuring and troubleshooting virtual meeting tools.</p></li><li><p>Knowledgeable about Active Directory and remote desktop utilities.</p></li><li><p>Experienced in utilizing antivirus and endpoint detection/response (EDR) security systems.</p></li></ul><p><strong>Core Competencies</strong></p><ul><li><p>Fluent in Cantonese is a must, and capable in Mandarin and English.</p></li><li><p>Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.</p></li><li><p>Adept at working independently as well as collaboratively.</p></li><li><p>Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.</p></li><li><p>Proactive, customer-focused, and approachable with a service-oriented mindset.</p></li></ul><p><strong>Working Location: Kwai Chung</strong></p><p><strong>Working Hours: Monday to Friday 0830 - 1730</strong></p><p><strong>1 Year Secondment Contract would be provided to successful applicant.</strong></p><p>We offer excellent compensation package, promotion prospects and job satisfaction.
