IoT Development Engineer (Full-time/Intern)

<p>As an IoT Development Engineer at SmartAge, you will be instrumental in designing and deploying robust IoT solutions that enhance elderly care through smart home systems and health monitoring technologies. Your work will focus on ESP32-based hardware integration, secure cloud communication, and seamless over-the-air (OTA) updates, directly contributing to our mission of revolutionizing elderly care with cutting-edge IoT innovations.</p><p></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong>:</p><ul><li><p>Develop and deploy firmware for ESP32 series microcontrollers</p></li><li><p>Implement sensor integration and data collection systems</p></li><li><p>Design and maintain secure communication protocols between devices and cloud platforms</p></li><li><p>Develop and maintain Over-The-Air (OTA) update systems</p></li><li><p>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate IoT devices into existing platforms</p></li></ul><p></p><p><strong>Qualifications</strong>:</p><p>Education: Bachelor's degree, Master or PhD in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or related field</p><p><strong>Technical Skills</strong>:</p><p>Proficiency in:</p><ul><li><p>C/C++ programming for embedded systems</p></li><li><p>ESP32 development frameworks (Platform IO, ESP-IDF, Arduino)</p></li><li><p>Cloud databases, REST APIs and cloud platforms (Google, Azure, or similar)</p></li></ul><p>Better to have Experience with:</p><ul><li><p>Sensor interfaces</p></li><li><p>Security implementations for IoT devices</p></li><li><p>OTA update mechanisms</p></li><li><p>Knowledge of battery optimization techniques</p></li><li><p>Solid work experience on ESP-IDF</p></li></ul><p></p><p><strong>Other Skills</strong>:</p><ul><li><p>Exceptional problem-solving abilities and attention to detail</p></li><li><p>Strong interest in IoT security and best practices</p></li><li><p>Experience with version control systems (Git)</p></li><li><p>Ability to read and understand sensor datasheets</p></li><li><p>Excellent communication skills to collaborate with technical and non-technical team members.</p></li></ul>
