The ideal candidate will be fluent in English, Traditional Chinese, and Simplified Chinese, with expertise in translating business documents and communications accurately and culturally appropriately. Remote and freelance candidates are welcome to apply!</p><p>Key Responsibilities</p><ul><li><p>Translate business documents (contracts, reports, proposals, emails, etc.) between English, Traditional Chinese, and Simplified Chinese.</p></li><li><p>Provide real-time interpretation during virtual or in-person meetings, negotiations, and conferences as needed.</p></li><li><p>Ensure translations preserve tone, context, and cultural nuances for business audiences.</p></li><li><p>Review and proofread translated content for accuracy, grammar, and consistency.</p></li><li><p>Collaborate with teams to clarify document intent and business-specific terminology.</p></li><li><p>Maintain confidentiality of sensitive business information.</p></li></ul><p>Requirements</p><ul><li><p>Bachelor’s degree in Translation, Linguistics, Business, or a related field.</p></li><li><p>Fluency in English, Traditional Chinese, and Simplified Chinese (written and spoken).</p></li><li><p>Minimum of 2 years of experience in business translation or interpretation.</p></li><li><p>Strong knowledge of business terminology, contracts, and corporate communication.</p></li><li><p>Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.</p></li><li><p>Proficient in translation tools (e.g., CAT tools like SDL Trados) and Microsoft Office.</p></li><li><p>Strong communication skills and cultural awareness.</p></li><li><p>For remote/freelance: Reliable internet, a quiet workspace, and availability during Hong Kong business hours (HKT).</p></li></ul><p>Preferred Qualifications</p><ul><li><p>Certification in translation (e.g., from the Chartered Institute of Linguists or similar).</p></li><li><p>Experience in industries such as finance, legal, or trade, especially in the Hong Kong market.</p></li><li><p>Familiarity with Hong Kong business culture and practices.</p></li><li><p>Prior experience working remotely or as a freelancer.</p></li></ul>
