Senior Data Engineer

Job Responsibilities

• Execute daily database maintenance work, including backup and disaster recovery mechanism, monitor system running state and set up instant warning mechanism, ensure data stability and security.

• Deeply optimize query performance, covering SQL syntax tuning, index optimization, architecture adjustment and bottleneck analysis, and improve the overall system response speed.

• Develop and implement data security management standards, including permission-based layer control, sensitive data protection measures and compliance reviews, to prevent unauthorized access risks.

• Bachelor's degree in information technology or related fields, with 5 to 10 years of practical experience in enterprise-level database design and management.

• Proficient in mainstream database systems (such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle or SQL Server), familiar with distributed databases and cloud database services is preferred.

• Have solid skills in SQL development and optimization, and be able to independently complete complex query analysis and performance diagnosis.

• Familiar with automation tools and scripting languages (such as Python, Shell, Ansible, etc.), those with platform development or DevOps practical experience are preferred.

• Fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin and English communication, with good team spirit and technical inheritance ability, able to support new technology introduction and team training.

• Enjoy a five-day work week, weekend double pay, and working hours from 9 am to 6 pm.

• Provide 14 days of annual leave per year, with seniority, and enjoy statutory public holidays.

• Monthly salary between HKD 40,000 and 60,000, depending on experience and ability; salary negotiable.

• Accept applications from Hong Kong permanent residents and various qualified work visa holders, including Talent Pass, Elite Pass, IANG, Dependent visa, and other valid work permits.
