Job Overview

We are seeking a Factory Digital Transformation Specialist to lead the digitalization initiatives at a leading manufacturing facility . This role will focus on integrating advanced technologies, optimizing processes, and implementing data-driven solutions to enhance operational efficiency, productivity, and compliance in a factory environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing digitalization, project management, and stakeholder collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a digital transformation strategy for the manufacturing facility, aligning operational goals and industry best practices.

  • Implement smart manufacturing technologies, such as IoT (Internet of Things), automation systems, and AI-driven analytics, to improve production efficiency and reduce downtime.

  • Oversee the integration of ERP systems (e.g., inventory management, production scheduling) and MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) to streamline factory operations.

  • Lead data management initiatives, including the collection, analysis, and visualization of factory data (e.g., production output, equipment performance) to support decision-making.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Operations, IT, Supply Chain) to identify process inefficiencies and design digital solutions, such as predictive maintenance tools.

  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards during the implementation of digital initiatives, particularly in steel processing and construction materials production.

  • Train factory staff on new digital tools and processes, fostering a culture of technology adoption and continuous improvement.

  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to digital transformation, such as production yield, cost savings, and equipment uptime.

  • Stay updated on industry trends (e.g., Industry 4.0, smart manufacturing) and propose innovative solutions to maintain a competitive edge in the Greater Bay Area.

  • Manage vendor relationships and oversee the procurement of digital tools, ensuring alignment with budget and project timelines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • At least 5 years of experience in digital transformation, preferably in a manufacturing or factory environment (experience in steel processing or construction materials is a plus).

  • Proven track record of implementing smart manufacturing technologies, such as IoT, automation, or AI analytics, in a factory setting.

  • Strong knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and MES, with hands-on experience in system integration.

  • Familiarity with data analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and factory data management practices.

  • Excellent project management skills, with experience leading cross-functional teams and managing multiple stakeholders.

  • Proactive and adaptable mindset, with the ability to navigate challenges in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to liaise with factory staff, senior management, and external vendors.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and digital tools for process optimization.

  • Fluency in English and Cantonese; Mandarin is a plus for collaboration within the Greater Bay Area.
