Part time Family Tutor (Early Childhood & Foundational Learning) – $700 per hr

Role Overview

Our client is seeking a warm, attentive, and experienced Family Tutor to support a young child’s

early-stage development within a private home setting. This role focuses on building strong

foundational cognitive, language, and early numeracy skills through engaging, play-based

learning.

The ideal candidate will combine elements of early childhood education and tutoring, creating a

nurturing environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and a love of learning.

Location: Tai Po

Key Responsibilities

• Design and deliver structured, play-based learning activities to support early development

• Introduce foundational math and cognitive concepts (e.g., counting, patterns, basic problem-solving)

• Support language development and communication skills through reading, storytelling, and interactive play

• Observe progress and provide thoughtful feedback and updates to parents

• Establish consistent learning routines and positive behavioral reinforcement

• Collaborate with parents to align on learning goals and developmental milestones

Requirements

• Proven experience in early childhood education, tutoring, or childcare

• Strong understanding of early developmental stages and learning methods

• Background in Early Childhood Education, Child Psychology, or related field

• Experience working in private households or with young learners in a 1:1 setting

• Familiarity with play-based or international early learning frameworks (e.g., Montessori, Reggio Emilia)

• Patient, energetic, and genuinely passionate about working with young children

• Ability to create engaging, age-appropriate, and interactive learning experiences

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Fluent in English; additional languages (e.g., Mandarin/Cantonese) are an advantage
