Specification Pre-Sales Engineer

<p>Work Location: Primary office near Causeway Bay</p><p></p><p>Key Responsibilities</p><p>•</p><p>Identify and create specification opportunities early in the design process to secure product specifications, minimizing competitive bids during tenders.</p><p>•</p><p>Assist the sales team in proposing alternatives when competitors’ products are specified, supported by necessary documentation.</p><p>•</p><p>Achieve an annual Target Specification Value as defined, contributing to the overall goals of the Specification Team.</p><p>•</p><p>Work proactively with the sales team to convert specifications into sales, supporting the company’s annual budget targets.</p><p>•</p><p>Provide specification and technical support to the sales department, including reviewing method statements, case studies, and other technical or marketing materials as required.</p><p>•</p><p>Manage complaints by updating control logs, determining corrective actions, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring timely resolution and closure.</p><p>•</p><p>Contribute to the development of product marketing strategies and new product enhancements.</p><p>•</p><p>Assist in marketing and support activities assigned to the Technical & Specification Team, such as product training.</p><p></p><p>Essential:</p><p>•</p><p>Proven experience in selling to specifiers such as architects, consulting engineers, clients, and designers.</p><p>•</p><p>Strong presentation skills with experience in conducting seminars.</p><p>•</p><p>Proficiency in producing CAD drawings and specification documents.</p><p>•</p><p>Technical knowledge and hands-on experience in the site application of construction chemicals.</p><p>•</p><p>High initiative and goal-oriented mindset.</p><p>Desirable:</p><p>•</p><p>Technical background in Civil or Building Engineering.</p><p>•</p><p>Experience in building construction.</p><p>•</p><p>In-depth knowledge of The Client’s product range and competitors’ offerings.</p><p>•</p><p>Clear understanding of the decision-making processes within consultant engineers, architects, and client organizations.</p>
