Key Responsibilities:
Technical Leadership: Co-lead the data management team and act as a database administrator.
Innovative Solutions: Analyze user requirements and design comprehensive multi-data center and hybrid-cloud solutions for web/mobile GIS applications.
Data Security: Develop and implement a robust data security framework.
Database Administration: Manage databases including Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, and NoSQL.
Documentation: Create detailed documentation for data management solutions and testing procedures.
Collaboration: Work closely with application development and infrastructure teams to optimize systems.
System Implementation: Assist in system analysis, design, and implementation, preparing relevant documentation.
Additional Duties: Perform other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements:
Educational Background: Degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field from a recognized university.
Certification: Certified Oracle DBA (OCP) preferred.
Experience: Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with:
PostgreSQL and Microsoft SQL Server
Database configuration, administration, backup/recovery, and troubleshooting
Unix/Linux shell scripting
Technical Skills:
Proficient in PL/SQL programming
Knowledge of high availability data architecture and cloud environments
Familiarity with the system development life cycle
Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical mindset.
Government Experience: At least 2 years in managing databases for government projects.
