Lead Technical BA (Data Engineering & Platform Management)

Summary:

Join our team to manage and enhance our data and system platforms, focusing on data analysis, modeling, process automation, and platform management. Lead projects, ensure efficient communication, and provide production support for APAC regulatory reporting applications. Ideal candidates will have significant experience in finance/banking IT, data structures, algorithms, and enterprise architectures.

Responsibilities:

1) Data & System Platform Management:

• Analyze data, model data, and automate processes.
• Develop and implement effective data management procedures.
• Create rules and procedures for data modeling and control.
• Manage incoming data feeds and oversee staff use of data and systems.
• Follow company IT data strategic direction.
• Design and implement long-term and short-term plans for system and software management.
• Evaluate system performance and recommend improvements.
• Help maintain digital security systems.
• Provide architectural expertise and guidance for system and software development.
• Document existing systems architecture and suggest improvements.
• Research and recommend emerging technologies to improve cost-effectiveness and flexibility.
• Design, develop, and oversee implementation of end-to-end integrated systems.

2) Project Management:

• Keep project documentation, define roles and responsibilities.
• Record risks, issues, and impacts; maintain planning and follow up on actions.
• Ensure effective communication within the project team and with stakeholders.
• Coordinate contributions to ensure that the plan is followed.
• Report issues promptly to prevent delays and budget overruns.

3) Solution Efficiency:

• Challenge requirements for efficient resource allocation.
• Write and review business analyst documentation.
• Monitor the long-term benefits of implemented solutions.
• Perform and support system testing (SIT & UAT).

4) Regional L3 Production Support:

• Provide L2 and L3 production support for APAC regulatory reporting applications.
• Review incidents with L1 production support and implement solutions.
• Transfer knowledge to L1/L2 support teams.
• Use error tracing techniques to identify root causes of incidents.
• Manage change management and release deployment processes.

Technical & Behavioral Competencies:

• Proven experience in systems or data-warehouse development for large-scale applications in finance/banking.
• Deep knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and enterprise architectures.
• Proficiency in database design, SQL/TSQL, data structure, and data modeling (Oracle preferred).
• Rich hands-on experience in Java and Python with a strong understanding of object-oriented programming.
• A good grasp of information and data processing principles and practices.
• familiarity with various technologies (AutoSys, SFTP, CFT, keys and certificates, Service Now).
• Knowledge in financial/accounting/regulatory reporting.
• Quick learning ability, self-motivated, and a good team player.
• A strong sense of ownership, analytical skills, and attention to detail.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• At least 10 years' experience in Banking or Financial Industry, preferably in Finance/Risk IT.
• Experience in project management, data analysis, and system implementation.
• Exposure to financial/regulatory reporting is advantageous.
