- Responsible for providing technical support for VDI Infrastructure environment and blade PCs. Candidate should possess in-depth knowledge of Citrix XenDesktop, NetScaler, Windows operating system, Desktop infrastructure, and Blade PC, this role requires a proactive and detail-oriented professional with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Serve as an enterprise-level administrator for supporting and troubleshooting VDI environments, ensuring system performance and security.
• Assist end users with VDI related technical issue and provide effective solutions.
• Maintain and troubleshoot blade PC infrastructure, performing updates and maintenance tasks.
• Serve as an enterprise-level administrator for Citrix environment, managing and resolving issue related Citrix virtual Desktops and Apps, including handling Citrix policies and configurations.
• Configure, deploy, and support thin client devices, ensuring proper operating and integration with VDI environments.
• Develop and maintain accurate records of configuration and procedures, along with creating troubleshooting guides and documents.
• Deliver process improvements around the use of our core technologies for Desktop infrastructure.
• Create technical documentation and procedures for the various APAC ITIP EUC implementers (L1, L2, L3).
• Deliver process improvements around our Monthly IT Security KRI's (MS-Patches, End-Point Protection, Local Admins Rights, Shared Folders).
• Enhance the maturity of our Asset Management Lifecycle (End-User assets).
• Troubleshoot problems and quickly resolve issues, analyze failures to minimize outages and interruptions.
• Perform system implementation and administration for assigned systems.
• Provide L3 support for Help Desk/Desktop personnel.
• Participate in the prompt closure of Service-Now tickets (REQ, INC, CHG) assigned to the Desktop Infrastructure team.
• Participate in an On-Call rotation.
• Technical / Behavioral Competencies:
•• Hands-on experiences in managing and troubleshooting VDI environment.
•• Proficient in managing Citrix Virtual Desktops environment include Citrix provisioning services, Citrix Director, NetScaler and Citrix Workspace (Client)
•• Well understanding of VMWare vSphere for Virtual management.
•• Experience in configuration, deploying and managing thin client in a VDI environment.
•• Skilled in managing and supporting windows operating systems.
•• Strong knowledge and experience in managing Active Directory services.
•• Proficient in using Microsoft endpoint Configuration manager (SCCM) for deployment and management.
•• Deep knowledge with network configuration and protocols associated with VDI and blade PCs.
•• Proficient in configuring and managing GPO and Citrix policies.
•• ITIL, ITSM and Project Management skills.
•• Must be a great communicator, teacher, and influencer.
•• Must be a keen learner and enthusiastic about technology.
•• Ability to perform deep dive analysis of issues and be able to quickly resolve complex problems
•• Be service oriented, customer focused, positive, and committed and an enthusiastic team player with a flexible 'can do' attitude.
•• Relishes taking responsibility in a hands-on environment directly interfacing with people at all levels of the organization.
•• Be able to follow the company's standards, processes, and procedures.
• Specific Qualifications Required:
•• Tertiary qualification in an IT (Computer Engineering or Sciences).
•• 6 years of direct experience managing and supporting large-scale Windows environments.
•• Expertise including in deep knowledge and hands of experience with Citrix XenApp and XenDesktop, Citrix provisioning services, Citrix Receiver, GPO, Citrix policies, Net Scaler , networking and desktop infrastructure
•• Strong proficiency with Windows operating system, networking, Active Directory and Microsoft Endpoint Configuration manager (SCCM)
•• Preferred experience working with VMWare vSphere
•• Technology Certifications preferable: (CCA-V, CCP-V, CCE-V, CCA-N, CCP-N, MTA, MCSA,MCITP, MCSE)
•• Windows Authentication experience would be a plus (Kerberos, Gemalto Smartcards, Entrust PKI)
