IT Infrastructure Specialist (1-yr Contract)

<p>Description:<br><br>We are looking for an IT Infrastructure Specialist/Team Manager with 8+ years of experience in IT infrastructure management, specifically with Windows and Linux operating systems. This is a client-facing management role that involves attending regular meetings with clients and overseeing a team of 4-5 members. The candidate must work hands-on with the team and take on the following key responsibilities:<br><br>1. System Administration and Troubleshooting<br>- Maintain and optimize server and storage platforms, including HDS VSP, NetApp FAS, and IBM SVC.<br>- Ensure high availability and performance of SAN storage and VMware environments, adhering to strict SLA requirements.<br>- Perform system installations, configurations, patches, and upgrades.<br>- Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues in accordance with agreed SLAs.<br>- Collaborate with other teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex problems.<br><br>2. Backup and Recovery<br>- Maintain backup solutions to ensure data integrity and availability.<br>- Develop and execute disaster recovery plans and conduct annual disaster recovery drills.<br><br>3. Documentation and Reporting<br>- Prepare reports for capacity planning, incidents, SLAs, and improvements.<br><br>4. Technical Support and Evaluation<br>- Provide technical support to users and collaborate with other teams to resolve issues.<br>- Offer professional recommendations on solutions to ensure compliance and drive continuous improvements.<br><br>The candidate must also have experience providing managed services to government departments and be familiar with the workflows and culture specific to these organizations.</p><p></p><p>Requirements:</p><ul><li>Degree holder with at least 10 years working experience in IT space</li><li>Have experience providing managed services to government departments and be familiar with the workflows and culture specific to these organizations</li></ul>
