Senior Network & CCTV System Engineer

Responsibilities

1. Design integrated network and video surveillance solutions, including requirement analysis, network topology planning, and equipment selection, ensuring alignment with customer business needs.

2. Lead project implementation and delivery, covering installation, configuration, and commissioning of network devices (routers, switches, wireless, firewalls), as well as Hikvision CCTV systems (IPC, NVR, storage, streaming servers). Perform system integration and end-to-end testing to ensure on-time, high-quality project delivery.

3. Provide system operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting support. Quickly diagnose and resolve issues such as network outages, video loss, latency, storage failures, and intelligent analytics malfunctions. Offer 24/7 on-call emergency technical support, routine system inspection, and performance optimization.

4. Interface with customers for technical clarification, solution presentation, system demonstration, and user training. Prepare professional project documentation including solution proposals, test reports, and operation & maintenance manuals.

5. Support pre-sales and sales teams by providing technical input, participating in tender preparation, and contributing to technical proposals and solution design.

Requirements

Core Technical Skills

1. Networking: Solid knowledge of TCP/IP protocols. Hands-on experience with routing and switching technologies such as OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, VLAN, STP, VRRP, VPN (IPSec/SSL), SD-WAN, QoS/CoS. Capable of independently designing, deploying, migrating, and optimizing LAN/WAN networks.

2. Equipment & Platforms: Practical experience with mainstream network devices from Cisco, Huawei, H3C, Aruba, and firewalls such as FortiGate. Strong expertise in Hikvision products including IPC, NVR, storage systems, streaming servers, and intelligent analytics modules. Familiar with iVMS-4200, HCP, or equivalent management platforms.

3. System Integration & Protocols: Good understanding of CCTV system integration with networks, storage, servers, and Linux environments. Familiar with industry protocols such as ONVIF, RTSP, and GB28181, with the ability to resolve cross-platform compatibility issues.

4. Troubleshooting: Strong problem-solving skills with extensive on-site and remote troubleshooting experience. Ability to quickly identify network bottlenecks, video streaming issues, storage faults, and system performance problems. Knowledge of AI-based analytics (e.g. behavior analysis, facial recognition) is an advantage.

1. Good communication and presentation skills, capable of explaining technical solutions clearly to customers and collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams. Strong documentation skills are required.

2. Able to work under pressure and meet project deadlines. Willing to travel for local Hong Kong projects when required. Strong sense of responsibility and project execution capability.

3. Self-motivated and eager to learn new technologies and products, especially in networking and video surveillance domains.

   Job Responsibilities

   1. Responsible for the integration design of network and video surveillance systems, including requirement analysis, network topology planning and device selection, ensuring that the solution meets the customer's business needs.

   3. Responsible for system maintenance and fault diagnosis, able to quickly handle network interruptions, image interruptions or freezing, storage abnormalities, and failure of intelligent analysis functions, providing7×24 Hour Emergency Technical Support, and regularly perform system inspections and performance optimization.

   4. Provide technical communication with customers, including solution demonstrations, system explanations and user training, and write professional project documents, such as proposals, test reports and maintenance manuals, to maintain good customer relationships.

   5. Provide technical support to the pre-sales and sales teams, participate in the preparation of tender documents and technical solutions, and provide professional technical advice to the project.

   Job Requirements

   Technical skills

   1. Network technology: Familiar with TCP/IP protocol, with OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, VLAN, STP, VRRP, VPN (IPSec / SSL), SD-WAN, QoS / CoS and other network technologies Practical configuration and troubleshooting experience, able to independently complete LAN / WAN network design, deployment and optimization.

   2. Equipment operation: Have practical configuration and maintenance experience with mainstream network devices such as Cisco, Huawei, H3C, and Aruba, as well as FortiGate firewalls; familiar with Hikvision IPC, NVR, storage devices, streaming servers and intelligent analysis modules, and be able to operate iVMS-4200, HCP and other management platforms.

   3. System integration and protocol: Understand video surveillance systems and network, storage, server and Linux system integration technology, familiar with ONVIF, RTSP, GB28181 and other industry standard protocols, and have the ability to handle cross-system compatibility issues.

   4. Fault diagnosis and troubleshooting skills: Have rich on-site and remote fault handling experience, and be able to quickly locate network bottlenecks, image abnormalities and storage problems. Those with AI intelligent analysis (such as behavior analysis, face recognition) related experience are preferred.

   2. Able to adapt to Hong Kong local project travel and on-site support arrangements, with good stress resistance, time management awareness and project execution ability.
