Senior Technical Officer / Technical Officer (HK$40K - $60K) (Ref. No.: 27455)

<p>Our client, a Public Sector, is looking for high-caliber person to fill the position.</p><p><strong></strong></p><p><strong>Responsibilities:-</strong></p><ul><li>Provide and verify the connections and physical installation work of the signalling and communication systems in accordance with approved design and safety compliance;</li><li>Prepare contract documents and support technical assessment on the submissions from the consultants and contractors;</li><li>Review, comment and prepare response on safety management plan, safety method statement and other site work-related submissions;</li><li>Provide expert advice and recommend measures on project issues to minimize impact on the programme and cost;</li><li>Ensure that site works are carried out in a safety manner and in accordance with applicable safety regulations, MTR safety rules and consented Safety Method Statement;</li><li>Co-ordinate between designated contractors and in-house resources for the installation & implementation;</li><li>Supervise site installation to ensure that works are carried out in conformance with approved design / design drawings / installation design and signalling standard, and applicable E&M installation practices and standards;</li><li>Witness testing and commissioning to verify that the performance of the installed equipment conforms to the approved design prior to system cut-over;</li><li>Carry out pre-work briefing and conduct site safety inspection;</li><li>Supervise other site activities such as site surveys, as needed, and take lead in resolving site and installation-related issues; and</li><li>Prepare daily, weekly and/or monthly progress report.</li></ul><p><strong></strong></p><p><strong>Requirements:-</strong></p><ul><li>Degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering or a related discipline.</li><li>Possess experience in the supervision of installation, testing and commissioning of major telecommunications networks in operating railway environment. Knowledge and experience in signalling, communication and low voltage power supply systems are preferred.</li><li>Have experience in works involving works at height such that use of scaffolding / work platform, works in confined space, and delivery of heavy equipment by manual handling process / use of lifting appliances will be necessary.</li><li>Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese (in particular Putonghua).</li></ul>
