In this role, you will work on machine learning initiatives aimed at optimizing production workflows, minimizing defect rates, shortening new product development cycles, and building a long-term AI strategy. You will work cross-functionally with design, process engineering, and product development teams to embed intelligent systems into our manufacturing processes. Key Responsibilities: Design and implement machine learning models for process optimization and predictive quality control Collect, analyze and model large-scale manufacturing data from sensors, machines, and production lines Build data-driven solutions that support faster product development and prototyping Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy ML models into production environments Develop and maintain internal documentation, best practices, and model versioning pipelines Contribute to the development of a 5-year roadmap for AI integration in smart manufacturing Monitor model performance and retrain as needed based on real-time factory data Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Science, or a related field 2+ years of hands-on experience with machine learning (open to junior-to-senior levels depending on experience and portfolio) Project experiences on one of these aspects: image object detection and classification, time series prediction, reinforcement learning. Nice to have LLM/CAE/AR experience. Proficiency in Python, SQL, and machine learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, openCV, Detectron2 etc.) Familiarity with electromechanical product manufacturing and process quality inspection is a plus. Strong understanding of data preprocessing, feature engineering, and statistical modeling Familiarity with linux shell, version control tools (e.g., Git), MLOps pipelines, and CI/CD practices Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally. Open to learning new technologies and willing to work in a diverse environment May require occasional same-day round trips to our Shenzhen office.
