Network Support Engineer

<p><strong>Role Overview</strong></p><p>The Network and Telecommunications Lead will be responsible for the design, implementation, and operational management of network infrastructure. This includes WAN, LAN, wireless, SD-WAN, voice systems, and associated security and monitoring platforms. The role requires deep technical expertise, strategic planning capabilities, and strong vendor and stakeholder management skills to ensure high availability, performance, and security of network services across all locations. This role is critical to ensuring secure, scalable, and high-performance connectivity across all enterprise locations, data centres, and cloud environments. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise, strategic thinking, and hands-on experience in managing complex network environments.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><p><strong>Global Network Architecture & Operations</strong></p><ul><li><p>Lead the design, deployment, and lifecycle management of WAN, LAN, and wireless infrastructure across global offices and data centres.</p></li><li><p>Oversee SD-WAN architecture, including template management, circuit prioritisation, and traffic routing policies</p></li><li><p>Manage VPN, firewall, and NAT configurations, ensuring secure and efficient connectivity between on-premises and cloud environments (Azure, AWS)</p></li><li><p>Manage Christie’s wireless (corporate and guest) network across global sites</p></li><li><p>Maintain SSID segmentation, security protocols (WPA2/WPA3), and guest access portals</p></li><li><p>Coordinate wireless site surveys, AP mapping, and RF tuning for auction rooms and high-density environments</p></li><li><p>Manage integration with RingCentral and AudioCodes gateways</p></li><li><p>Responsible for monitoring the network and supporting Christie's live sales</p></li><li><p>Maintain and troubleshoot Cisco UCaaS</p></li><li><p>Maintain and troubleshoot F5 systems</p></li><li><p>Managed and maintain NPS (Network Policy Server) services</p></li><li><p>Perform Physical Datacentre Patching and Manage Physical Network Devices</p></li></ul><p><strong>Security & Compliance</strong></p><ul><li><p>Oversee certificate lifecycle management for VPNs, wireless controllers, and internal services</p></li><li><p>Collaborate with Infosec and own firewall policies, reviews, segmentation strategies, and address any vulnerabilities</p></li><li><p>Maintain and troubleshoot LAN/WAN infrastructure, including Cisco Catalyst and Nexus switches, wireless controllers, and access points</p></li></ul><p><strong>Monitoring & Reporting</strong></p><ul><li><p>Maintain SolarWinds for network monitoring, NetFlow analytics, and configuration backups</p></li><li><p>Manage WAN utilisation and LAN availability reports</p></li></ul><p><strong>Vendor & Contract Management</strong></p><ul><li><p>Manage support contracts with vendors for Cisco support, hardware support, and other general support</p></li><li><p>Coordinate and help Client on contract renewals and licensing true-ups for global network devices, licences, and support</p></li></ul><p><strong>Team Leadership & Collaboration</strong></p><ul><li><p>Act as the escalation point for global network incidents and changes.</p></li><li><p>Provide technical mentorship to regional network engineers and collaborate with other internal and external teams</p></li><li><p>Participate in strategic planning, budgeting, and governance meetings</p></li></ul><p><strong>Required Skills & Experience</strong></p><ul><li><p>10+ years of experience in enterprise network engineering and operations.</p></li><li><p>Expert-level knowledge of Cisco technologies (Catalyst, Nexus, DNA, ISE, SD-WAN).</p></li><li><p>Strong understanding of WAN routing, BGP, NAT, VPN, and firewall architectures.</p></li><li><p>Experience with wireless design and troubleshooting in high-density environments.</p></li><li><p>Strong understanding of cloud networking (Azure ExpressRoute, IPSEC tunnels).</p></li><li><p>Proficiency in SolarWinds, NetFlow, and network monitoring tools.</p></li><li><p>Proven ability to manage global vendors and support contracts.</p></li><li><p>Excellent communication and documentation skills.</p></li></ul><p><strong>Preferred Certifications</strong></p><ul><li><p>Cisco CCNP or CCIE (Enterprise or Security)</p></li><li><p>Versa SD-WAN certification (or equivalent experience)</p></li><li><p>Cloud networking certification (Azure, or equivalent)</p></li><li><p>ITIL Foundation</p></li></ul>
