Cloud Engineer (Data Center | Level 2)

<p><strong>Location: HK Airport<br>Job Type: Full-Time<br>Support Coverage: 24/7(Rotating Shifts, Including Nights & Holidays) or Office Hours</strong></p><p><strong><br>Job Summary:</strong></p><p>We are looking for a skilled and motivated System Engineer with hands-on experience in Linux system administration, container technologies (Docker & Kubernetes), and basic familiarity with open-source infrastructure components. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, operation, monitoring, and maintenance of large-scale production systems, with a particular focus on reliability, scalability, and performance.</p><p>This role involves working in mission-critical environments, including after-hours support, and requires strong troubleshooting skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to collaborate across teams.</p><p></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Install, configure, and maintain <strong>Linux-based production servers</strong></li><li>Manage and operate <strong>Docker containers</strong> and <strong>Kubernetes clusters</strong> (on-prem or cloud)</li><li>Automate routine system tasks using <strong>Shell scripting</strong></li><li>Monitor system performance and ensure availability of key services</li><li>Troubleshoot escalated production issues and collaborate with cross-functional teams</li><li>Perform maintenance and upgrades on servers, OS, and containerized environments</li><li>Basic support and integration of open-source components such as <strong>Kafka</strong>, <strong>Zookeeper</strong>, <strong>MySQL</strong>, <strong>Cassandra</strong>, <strong>Elasticsearch</strong></li><li>Provide support for <strong>CCTV surveillance systems</strong> and server infrastructure</li><li>Participate in on-call rotations, including nights and weekends</li></ul><p><strong>Required Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>Relevant certifications in Linux, Kubernetes, or DevOps are desirable</li><li>2+ years of experience in <strong>Linux system administration</strong></li><li>Solid knowledge of <strong>Shell scripting</strong> for automation and maintenance</li><li>Hands-on experience with <strong>Docker</strong> and <strong>Kubernetes(K8s)</strong> in production environments</li><li>Familiar with network protocols such as TCP/IP, HTTP</li><li>Experience troubleshooting and maintaining large-scale production systems</li><li>Ability to work flexible hours, including night shifts and holidays</li><li>Strong problem-solving skills and proactive approach to operational issues</li></ul><p><strong>Good to Have:</strong></p><ul><li>Basic knowledge of <strong>Kafka</strong>, <strong>Zookeeper</strong>, <strong>MySQL</strong>, <strong>Cassandra</strong>, <strong>Elasticsearch</strong></li><li>Understanding of <strong>CCTV surveillance systems</strong>, video storage, and server integration</li><li>Experience with monitoring tools (e.g. Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack)</li><li>Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) is a plus</li><li>SenseTime certification or similar tech training is a bonus</li></ul>
