Payments Associate

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Payments Associate to join our dynamic team. This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate or a professional with foundational experience in the banking and financial industry. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth, accurate, and timely processing of domestic and international payment settlements. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver who is detailed minded and possess exceptional communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Process and verify a high volume of domestic and international payments (e.g., wire transfers, SWIFT) with precision and in accordance with established deadlines and compliance guidelines.

• Cash flow monitoring (including verification of incoming flows for internal purposes);

• Monitor payment queues, investigate and resolve discrepancies or failed transactions promptly;

• Verifying the sufficiency and accuracy of supporting documents for making payments;

• Liaise with internal teams (e.g., Client Services, Trading, Compliance) and external correspondents/banks to resolve payment related inquiries;

• Maintain accurate records and assist in the reconciliation of daily cash and payment transactions;

• Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance payment processes, controls, and efficiency;

• Prepare and distribute standard payment reports and assist with audit requests;

• Case by case supporting the process of opening and closing of the Company's accounts

Qualifications & Requirements

Essential:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field；

• 1 to 5 years of relevant experience in payments, banking operations, treasury, or a similar financial operations role.

• Fluent proficiency in English and Chinese is mandatory (both spoken and written). Ability to handle professional communication and complex documentation in both languages.

• Strong numerical and analytical skills with an unwavering attention to detail；

• High level of integrity and understanding of the importance of confidentiality and control in financial transactions；

• Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks in a deadline-driven environment。
