RO Responsibilities:
1) Responsible for the review and supervision of all the company's business operations, serving as a representative and the person in charge of business as approved by the SFC of Hong Kong.
2) Responsible for addressing the relevant business requirements put forward by the company's operations and business departments. Conduct comprehensive risk management processes, encompassing needs analysis, risk identification, risk assessment, risk forecasting, and the formulation of response measures.
3) Collaborate with external entities to complete the company's financial and auditing tasks. Carry out the continuous evaluation of the company's risk management system to ensure that risk management policies, procedures, and practices are in full and effective operation in line with the requirements of the company's risk management framework.
4) Regularly gather, collate, and analyse business risk information. Conduct periodic AML internal investigations to ensure the company's business and operations are in strict compliance with relevant regulations.
5) Responsible for the daily running of the company's risk management system, including the training, dissemination, as well as the maintenance of the risk management system and associated policies.
6) Responsible for the management of virtual asset-related business, including, but not limited to, the identification, assessment, monitoring, and response to risks associated with virtual asset trading, custody, issuance, and other business activities.
7) Keep abreast of the latest developments and regulatory policies in the virtual asset industry and promptly adjust the company's risk management strategies for virtual asset business accordingly.
8) Maintain communication and foster good relationships with the Hong Kong regulatory authorities.
Undertake any other tasks assigned by the company.
Qualifications:
1. Possess the necessary licence for conducting local business operations in Hong Kong (with the experience and qualifications of a RO and substantial practical experience as an RO).
2. 2. Have at least 3 years of experience as the person in charge of Type 1 / 4 / 9 licences (including virtual assets) at a Hong Kong financial institution, along with at least 2 years of substantial business management experience.
