Position Summary

As a Personal Banking Manager in our vibrant branch network, you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional retail banking experiences. This customer-facing position focuses on building enduring relationships, identifying client needs, and cross-selling tailored products to achieve branch targets. Key Responsibilities

  • Client Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong, long-term relationships with individual and business clients through personalized advisory and proactive follow-ups, ensuring high satisfaction and loyalty.

  • Needs Assessment and Product Matching: Analyze customers' financial goals and circumstances to recommend suitable banking products, including deposits, loans, insurance, MPF schemes, and investment options, while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

  • Business Development and Sales: Actively acquire new customers via targeted sales campaigns, in-branch consultations, and off-site networking events; drive deposit growth, fee-based income, and cross-selling to meet or exceed monthly KPIs.

  • Promotional Activities: Collaborate with branch teams to execute in-branch and external promotions, leveraging digital tools and marketing initiatives to enhance customer engagement and portfolio expansion.

  • Compliance and Advisory Support: Provide accurate financial guidance, handle inquiries and complaints efficiently, and adhere to all relevant regulations, including anti-money laundering (AML) protocols and ethical sales practices.

  • Qualifications and Requirements

  • Education: University degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.

  • Professional Qualifications:

    • Passes in the Insurance Intermediaries Qualifying Examination (IIQE) required (can support candidates in obtaining if needed).

    • Hong Kong Securities and Investment Institute (HKSI) Licensing Examination or Exempted/Qualified Securities Dealer status (optional but advantageous).

    • Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) Intermediaries Examination pass (optional).

  • Experience: Minimum 6 months in banking or financial services, preferably in retail banking, sales, or customer-facing roles; insurance agents with relevant experience are encouraged to apply.

  • Skills:

    • Strong sales acumen with a proven track record in relationship building and target achievement.

    • Proficient in spoken and written English and Chinese (Cantonese); knowledge of Putonghua is a plus for serving diverse clientele.

    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities; tech-savvy with familiarity in banking systems and CRM tools.

  • Personal Attributes: Proactive, mature, independent, and customer-oriented with a pleasant demeanor; resilient under pressure and committed to ethical practices.
