Job Description
Duties:
Assists in the full range of human resources functions and provides human resource support to all business units in Hong Kong and Mainland China.
Aligns human resource practices with company direction and effectively addresses any potential labor disputes, complaints, and actions.
Aids in formulating, reviewing, preparing, and implementing human resource policies and practices to ensure alignment with company strategic objectives.
Collaborates in formulating and reviewing incentive and motivation schemes, as well as compensation and benefit packages that attract and retain talent.
Works closely with the headquarters leadership team and local leaders to ensure effective communication and co-creation of solutions to address business challenges.
Acts as the leader for personnel issues in China, facilitating communication between headquarters and the local team regarding matters such as recruitment, employee engagement, training, and cultural development.
Partners with business managers to maximize staffing efficiency and strategically plans the workforce for cost management.
Supports change initiatives and facilitates effective communication between management and employees to ensure a smooth transition.
Conducts talent discussions, organizes talent reviews, and oversees succession planning to ensure a robust leadership pipeline.
Assists in conducting organizational reviews and shaping departmental structures to optimize performance and efficiency.
Provides integrated human resource management services, including advice, performance management, reward decisions, and disciplinary matters.
Coordinates the annual performance evaluation process and prepares summary reports to assess overall employee performance.
Designs and organizes staff engagement activities to promote staff welfare and enhance staff communication.
Assists in other human resource operations and performs ad-hoc duties as assigned.
Prepared for occasional travel to China as needed to fulfill the responsibilities of this role.
Qualifications:
Has 10 years of relevant experience, with preference given to those who have formulated incentive and motivation schemes and possess international exposure. A background in procurement and manufacturing industries is highly sought after.
Preferably from a multinational company with substantial experience managing the Chinese market.
Proactive personality, detail-oriented, with excellent communication and computer skills.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, capable of multi-tasking, prioritizing, and managing change.
Independent, dynamic, and flexible, able to drive changes in personnel-related areas.
Familiar with both the Hong Kong Employment Ordinance and Chinese Labor Law.
Highly adaptable with a strong problem-solving mindset.
Confident with strong and clear communication skills and fluency in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese.
