THE OPPORTUNITY

- MiQ China was set up in 2020 and now has offices in Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Hongkong - focusing on China's outbound advertising to help clients succeed overseas.
- The role acts as a bridge between the UK and China finance teams, this role will be responsible for delivering financial operational services to Hong Kong companies and supporting China offshore business. Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, the role demands a solid foundation in
financial expertise, exceptional communication abilities, and proficiency in working both independently and collaboratively within a team.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Financial Reporting & Compliance -
Collaborate closely with UK Central Finance and China mainland finance teams to prepare accurate and timely monthly financial statements for the Hong Kong entity - Support the month-end closing process, the year-end tax filing and financial audits
• Company Secretarial & Payments -
Manage the company secretarial functions for the Hong Kong company, including maintaining statutory records and ensuring compliance with local regulations - Review and apply for the company payment requests
• Outbound Business Support -
Handle invoicing and payment tracking for China outbound business, ensuring timely and accurate processing of transactions
• China Payment Support - Assist the mainland China finance team with payment application
• Ad-hoc Support - Provide support on other finance-related or administrative/HR tasks as needed.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance. A professional accounting qualification (e.g.,
CPA, ACCA) is highly preferred
- 2-3+ years of relevant experience in a similar role, preferably generalist in small and medium sized companies
- Strong understanding of Hong Kong Financial Reporting Standards (HKFRS) and local accounting regulations
- Experience with company secretarial functions is essential
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail
