Job Description
Chinese kitchen
Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for the daily cooking and serving of Chinese hot dishes, stir-fries, and steamed dishes, ensuring consistent flavor
- Strictly enforce food safety and sanitation standards, implement food ingredient acceptance, refrigeration storage, raw and cooked separation, and cleaning of operation areas;
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to complete the preparation, cutting and serving, and plating and serving of all stages, maintaining a high-efficiency and orderly kitchen operation;
Work requirements
- Have three or more years of practical work experience in a regular Chinese restaurant, hotel or chain food establishment, familiar with Cantonese cuisine as the mainstay
- Familiar with the various positions and operations of the Chinese kitchen, able to independently complete the cooking of many traditional and innovative dishes, with basic knife skills, control of fire and seasoning;
- Hold a food safety certificate issued by the Hong Kong Food and Environmental Health Bureau, and be familiar with the relevant provisions of the Public Health and Municipal Ordinance of Hong Kong;
- Have basic Cantonese communication skills, be able to clearly understand instructions and collaborate with colleagues; understanding Mandarin or English is an added bonus, but not necessary.
