Job Description

We are seeking a purification engineer/expert to join our team, primarily responsible for developing purification processes for large-scale proteins/peptides/nucleic acids (plasmids, viroids, etc.) from recombinant microorganisms/eukaryotic cells fermentation broth/culture (with experience in Escherichia coli product purification).

Working location: Hong Kong Science Park

Duties:

·Design, develop and optimize large-scale protein/peptide/nucleic acid (plasmid, viroid, etc.) extraction and purification processes.

·Familiar with product quality control and endotoxin removal process.

·Organize, analyze and summarize data to write a report, highlighting key information and trends.

·Write reports and documents describing downstream pure chemical processes related to experimental schemes, policies, maintenance, standards, and standard operating procedures.

·Follow a preventive maintenance plan to maintain equipment, perform tests, troubleshoot and solve equipment failures.

Requirements & Skills:

·Have a bachelor's, master's or doctoral degree in biotechnology, microbiology, biochemistry, fermentation engineering, chemical engineering or related fields.

·Have practical work experience in bioproduct purification (at least two years of work experience, with demonstrable results, and those with GMP experience and expertise are preferred)

· Highly welcome those with fermentation experience in the development and optimization of fermentation medium components and fermentation tank process cultivation parameters for simultaneously producing metabolic products/proteins/peptides/nucleic acids (plasmids, lipids, etc.)

·Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Proficient in cost reduction and yield improvement through process optimization, with successful case studies.

·Have sharp attention to details.

·Excellent team collaboration and communication skills.
