Since its inception, the company has actively expanded its scope of business, successfully listing on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in 1995. Moreover, during the downturn of the Hong Kong real estate market from 1997 to 2003, Midland expanded against the tide, strengthening its market position. In 2000, Midland acquired the industry leader, Hongkong Land, laying the groundwork for mergers within the industry. As of October 2020, the group had nearly 400 branches across Hong Kong Island, Kowloon Peninsula, and New Territories.
