Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for the preparation, cooking and plating of Japanese cuisine, including sashimi, sushi, grilled items, and simmered dishes, ensuring that the finished product meets the restaurant's quality standards and flavor requirements.

• Participate in daily opening preparation on time, including food ingredient acceptance, refrigeration and preservation, knife and cutting board cleaning and disinfection, kitchen equipment maintenance, etc. Provide logistics support.

• Collaborate with the head chef or kitchen supervisor to arrange, execute menu updates, new dish R&D testing and seasonal limited-time dishes, and timely propose improvement suggestions.

• Strictly follow food safety and sanitation standards, implement HACCP basic principles, keep the work area clean and orderly, and cooperate with the Food and Environmental Health Department's regular inspections and internal audits.

• During business hours, provide support to front-line colleagues, including responding to customer special needs (such as allergen warnings, taste adjustments), assisting with peak period meal delivery, and maintaining service smoothness.

• Holding secondary three education or above, with 1 to 3 years of regular Japanese restaurant kitchen practical experience, familiar with the basic Japanese cooking method and food characteristics, those who are familiar with the basic Japanese cooking method and food characteristics are preferred.

• Able to communicate in Cantonese on a daily basis, with basic English and Mandarin listening and speaking abilities, and able to understand simple menu terms, safety instructions, and team orders.

• Have good time management and multi-task handling skills, be able to adapt to shift arrangements (including Saturday), and maintain stable attendance from 09:00 to 18:00.

• Must hold a valid Hong Kong work visa and agree to be assisted by the employer in obtaining relevant foreign labor quotas and Immigration Department application procedures.

• Monthly salary range is from HKD16,000 to 24,000, determined by personal experience and performance, and with a clear promotion and salary adjustment mechanism.

• Provide overtime allowance, all overtime work is calculated and compensated according to the Employment Ordinance, and is confirmed by both parties’ attendance records.

• Enjoy transportation allowance, based on actual commuting distance and mode, paid monthly in cash or bank transfer.
