Job Title: Chef

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for daily restaurant menu cooking, including appetizers, main courses, desserts, etc. Ensure consistent quality and meet menu standards.
  • According to seasonal ingredients and operational needs, participate in menu design and tasting work, and assist in improving dish innovation and market adaptability.
  • Strictly follow food safety and sanitation standards, implement food acceptance, refrigeration storage, raw and cooked separation, utensil disinfection, etc. Ensure compliance with the requirements of the Hong Kong Food Safety Ordinance.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team on opening and closing preparations, cleaning and inventory management to keep the kitchen environment clean and orderly, and properly record material consumption.
  • Comply with the supervisor's schedule for rotating shifts (including lunch, dinner, holidays, and special event support), have flexible work time adaptation ability, and maintain high-efficiency collaboration and stable output during peak hours.

Requirements:

  • Have at least two years of practical kitchen work experience in a regular dining establishment (such as a restaurant, hotel or chain food store), familiar with Chinese cuisine, Cantonese cuisine or a specified cuisine, those who are familiar with Chinese cuisine, Cantonese cuisine or a specified cuisine are preferred.
  • Holding a Hong Kong-recognized chef-related qualification certificate, such as the Vocational Training Council (VTC) "Intermediate Cooking Certificate", "Advanced Cooking Certificate", or the "Skills Enhancement Program" recognized by the Labor Department; those with a Food Safety Officer (FSD) course certificate will be given priority.
  • Proficient in knife skills, temperature control, sauce preparation, steaming, frying, etc. basic cooking techniques, able to independently complete complex processes and multiple dishes, and attach importance to the overall presentation of color, aroma, taste and shape of the finished product.
  • Have good communication skills and team spirit, be able to stay focused and disciplined in a high-pressure environment, respect kitchen work rules, and be willing to accept guidance and continuous learning.
  • No criminal record, good health, able to hold a long-term and stable job, and in compliance with the Hong Kong Immigration Department's relevant regulations on employment visas (if applicable).
