Work functions
1. Compliance Management
Establish and maintain the company's compliance management system, develop compliance policies, procedures and operating manuals
Monitor the company's new and old business operations for compliance, identify and evaluate potential compliance risks
Responsible for implementing and daily supervision of anti-money laundering (AML) and customer due diligence (KYC) processes
Regularly conduct compliance reviews and internal audits to ensure effective implementation of compliance policies
Regularly report to the internal headquarters compliance department on the company's compliance status and risk assessment results
Promote the harmonization and unification of Hong Kong company compliance systems and mainland company compliance requirements
2. Legal affairs management
Draft, review and manage various contracts and legal documents of the company
Provide daily legal consultation, provide professional legal support for business decisions
Responsible for company intellectual property management, including trademark, patent application and protection
Handle company legal disputes and controversies as needed
Review cross-border business contracts to ensure compliance with relevant laws in both jurisdictions
Provide professional interpretation of Hong Kong's legal environment and regulations to internal teams
3. Supervisory communication and reporting
Track Hong Kong regulatory policy changes, evaluate their impact on the company's business and propose corresponding countermeasures
Assist in handling inquiries and on-site inspections from regulatory agencies
Timely report to the mainland company on the changes in the Hong Kong regulatory environment and their impact on the group's business
Coordinate Hong Kong and Mainland China's regulatory communication work to ensure the group's overall compliance operation
4. Cross-border compliance collaboration
Participate in the group compliance meeting, report on the compliance work of the Hong Kong company and its phased plan
Assist mainland relevant departments to understand Hong Kong's legal system and regulatory operating environment
Minimum education and work experience requirements
Bachelor's degree or above, law, compliance or related professional
Holding a Hong Kong lawyer qualification, or ACAMS, CAMS, etc. related compliance professional qualification certificate
Have at least 5 years of compliance/legal work experience in Hong Kong's financial or technology industry
Applicants with cross-border compliance or multinational company compliance work experience are preferred
Familiarity with Hong Kong and Mainland China's relevant laws and regulations is preferred
Professional skills requirements
Proficient in Hong Kong's Securities and Futures Ordinance, Anti-Money Laundering Ordinance, and other relevant laws and regulations
Familiar with the Hong Kong regulatory environment and the operating procedures of various regulatory agencies
Have excellent skills in legal document drafting, review, and writing
Have excellent risk assessment, problem analysis and solving skills
Have good project management and organizational and coordination skills
Able to adapt to the fast-paced work environment of a startup company and efficiently complete work tasks
Have excellent cross-border collaboration and communication and coordination skills
Language requirements
English and Mandarin fluency, can be used as a working language
Preference will be given to those who are fluent in Cantonese
Work permit requirements
Must hold a valid Hong Kong work permit
Hong Kong permanent residents or those with a Hong Kong work visa are given priority
Work schedule
Working mode: Office-based work
Working hours: Standard working hours are from Monday to Friday 9:00-18:30; due to business needs, extra working hours may be arranged
