Quality Control Officer (Fresh Industry) - Overnight

Main work responsibilities

1. Source and receiving inspection:

• Assist in on-site quality evaluation of suppliers and planting bases.

• Responsible for quickly and strictly inspecting fresh agricultural products (vegetables, meat, etc.) upon arrival.

• According to the standard, check and record the key indicators such as freshness, specifications, color, ripeness, pests and diseases, mechanical damage, cold chain temperature, etc. of the product.

2. Process/Operational Process Monitoring:

• Monitor the cold chain warehouse environment for sanitation and temperature (refrigeration/freezing), ensuring compliance with standards.

• Supervise sorting, processing, packaging, etc. operation process of the normative and hygienic situation (such as: personnel hygiene, cleaning of work tools, cross-contamination prevention)

• Check the accuracy of the finished product label, packaging, and net weight.

3. Food safety and sanitation management:

• Supervise and implement SSOP (Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures), ensuring a hygienic and safe working environment.

• Participate in the training and daily supervision of food processing and warehouse personnel on sanitation regulations.

• Assist in handling customer complaints about product quality and safety, participate in root cause analysis and follow up improvement measures.

4. Quality records and problem handling:

• Accurately and timely fill out various quality inspection record forms, temperature monitoring record, etc.

• Proficient in the use of testing equipment (such as: thermometer, agricultural residue rapid test card, central temperature thermometer, etc.).

• Education and major: College degree or above, food science, biotechnology, etc. related professional is preferred.

• Work experience: More than 1 year of fresh food industry (such as fruits and vegetables, meat, seafood, catering, supermarket fresh department) quality control/inspection related experience.

• Familiar with fresh product characteristics: Understand post-ripening of fruits and vegetables, meat acidification, etc. basic knowledge, understand the required standards, requirements, qualifications.

• Familiar with food safety regulations

• Have on-site judgment ability: Able to quickly and accurately judge the freshness and quality grade of fresh products.

• Able to adapt to low temperature work environment, and able to adapt to early shift or shift work

• React quickly and efficiently to handle sudden quality issues on site.

• Good communication skills, able to effectively communicate with purchasing, warehouse, production and other front-line personnel.

• Need to work overnight

Prioritization conditions:

• Familiar with HACCP, GAP, BRC, etc., quality control systems.

• Have supplier audit or on-site base experience.

• Able to use Office software to record data and perform simple analysis fluently.

Working days: Work 6 days a week, rotating days off

Working hours: 9:00pm-6:00am

Working location: Yuen Long

Salary: HKD25,000
