Piano accompaniment instructor

Job Responsibilities

Responsible for providing on-the-spot piano accompaniment for vocal and various performance art courses, adjusting the rhythm, speed and emotional expression in real time according to the teaching progress and actual needs of the students.
Participate in the course preparation work, including familiarizing with the score, adapting and simplifying the version, making part scores, and communicating with the main speaker instructor on the music interpretation focus and performance details.
Assist students in stage practice training, guide them to distinguish pitch, rhythm coordination and interaction skills with accompaniment, and enhance overall performance and music collaboration awareness.
Regularly participate in teaching and research meetings, share accompaniment teaching experiences, and assist in developing suitable accompaniment teaching materials and practice plans for different levels of students.
Support on-campus and off-campus performance activities, including final performance, public performance, and rehearsal for competitions, to ensure a smooth and professional music segment and showcase high-level art collaboration skills.

Work requirements

Have solid piano performance skills, be able to read and play mid-to-high difficulty sheet music (including classical, musical theatre, jazz and pop styles), and those with improvisational harmony and modulation skills are preferred.
Having at least two years of relevant accompaniment experience, having provided long-term accompaniment services for vocal or dance courses, and familiar with the learning characteristics and accompaniment methods of different age groups and levels of students.
Passionate about art education work, patient, empathetic and encouraging teaching attitude, and willing to continuously improve accompaniment skills and cross-disciplinary art knowledge.
