The Role

We are looking for a seasoned Industry Solutions Manager to drive our business development initiatives in the aerospace and aviation sector. Leveraging your extensive aviation background, you will champion the adoption of our fiber‑optic shape sensing technology for aircraft structural health monitoring, maintenance, and manufacturing applications. You will act as the bridge between our technical team and industry players, ensuring our solutions meet the stringent requirements of the aviation industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy for the aerospace sector across Asia Pacific, with a focus on airlines, MRO providers, aircraft manufacturers, and regulatory bodies.

• Cultivate relationships with key decision‑makers and technical experts to understand their challenges and position our technology as a solution.

• Collaborate with engineering teams to adapt our sensing systems to aviation standards and certification processes.

• Manage the full sales cycle, from lead generation to proposal development and contract closure.

• Represent the company at international air shows, industry forums, and technical working groups.

• Gather market intelligence to guide product enhancements and identify new application areas (e.g., composite structures, UAVs, space vehicles).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

• Minimum 15 years of experience in the aviation industry, with a strong background in flight operations, maintenance, or engineering management.

• Commercial pilot license or significant operational experience (e.g., captain) is highly valued.

• In‑depth understanding of aircraft structures, maintenance procedures, and industry regulations (e.g., EASA, FAA, CAD).

• Established network within the aviation community in Hong Kong, China, and the broader Asia region.

• Exceptional communication, influencing, and cross‑cultural skills; fluency in English and Chinese (Cantonese and/or Mandarin).

• Ability to thrive in a dynamic startup environment, with a proactive and results‑driven attitude.
