Intern Makeup Artist (Trainee Makeup Artist)

Job overview

We are seeking passionate and hard-working interns who are interested in the beauty industry. You will learn professional makeup techniques, hair design, and customer service under the guidance of a senior makeup artist. This is an excellent practical opportunity for you to start from the basics and gradually grow into a professional makeup artist who can work independently.

Main work responsibilities

• Technical assistance:

• Tool maintenance: Responsible for the daily cleaning and disinfection of makeup tools (brushes, sponges, color palette), ensuring that the work surface is neatly organized.

• Model/Customer reception: Assist customers with changing clothes and tying scarves, and pay attention to their needs and comfort during the makeup process.

• Support for filming: Assist with touch-ups (oil blotting, hair styling), lighting or changing clothing and accessories on set.

• Product Management: Regularly inventory cosmetics, ensure products are not expired, and assist in displaying and organizing makeup products.

• Learning and training: Actively participate in the internal training courses provided by the company, and practice makeup in your spare time to pass the evaluation.

Position requirements

• Professional background: Strong interest in makeup, aesthetics, and fashion (holders of makeup school certificate or nail art / beauty-related certification are preferred).

• Personal traits: * Careful and perceptive, able to anticipate the needs of makeup artists.

  • Have a high sense of service, be kind and polite to others.

  • Ambitious, able to withstand long hours of work and fine motor skills.

• Appearance: Professional image, clean and decent, with basic requirements for aesthetics.

• Language skills: Good Cantonese and basic Mandarin/English communication skills.

• Work attitude: Punctual, honest, and able to accept flexible working hours (such as: early morning dispatch for makeup or weekend wedding makeup).

• Have basic knowledge of hair design (Hairstyling).

• Familiar with photography basics or basic mobile photo editing/recording (for easy assistance in shooting a portfolio).

• Have retail or cosmetics counter sales experience.
