Project overview
Job Responsibilities
• Responsible for the development and testing of microbial populations that accelerate aerobic repair at landfills;
• Collect landfill samples and analyze their physicochemical properties, establish microbial species screening standards and design culture medium formulas;
• Screen and identify high-efficiency degradation strains, optimize the formula of the culture medium and conduct bacterial community combination ratio experiments;
• Test degradation performance, analyze stability in laboratory reactors and pilot-scale reactors, and complete multiple rounds of comparative experiments;
• Prepare the fungal powder (freeze-dried or spray-dried) and conduct activity and quality testing to ensure effective action when applied;
• Provide microbial environment requirements and parameter thresholds for AI control systems, and collaborate with software and hardware teams to complete system integration and field applications.
Job Requirements
• Hold a PhD in chemistry, chemical engineering, microbiology, environmental science or related STEM fields, which must be awarded by a local university or an internationally recognized institution;
• Hold a bachelor’s degree in fine chemicals/applications chemistry;
• Candidates with interdisciplinary skills to combine microbial/chemical R&D with AI-driven data systems are especially preferred;
• Must have the legal right to work in Hong Kong during the employment period.
