Job Description

Position: Assistant Manager, Business Account Acquisition (SME focus)

Role Overview:

You will explore new business opportunities in the SME segment to generate lending business and revenue for the Bank.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and manage an effective sales pipeline by generating leads from your own network and collaborating with branches to identify SME loan opportunities.

  • Conduct needs assessments to match suitable financial products/services to customer requirements and identify up-selling and cross-selling opportunities for SME and Retail Banking.

  • Achieve KPI targets by acquiring new SME accounts and CASA deposit balances.

  • Manage the entire loan application process, from submission to drawdown.

  • Ensure KYC/CDD compliance for all new and existing customers, performing risk assessments in line with regulatory and internal procedures.

  • Prepare credit proposals and conduct regular reviews to maintain credit quality according to the Bank’s policies.

  • Comply with customer data protection, regulatory conduct, and compliance requirements.

  • Deliver excellent service quality to SME Business Banking customers and handle inquiries professionally to ensure high customer satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • University degree in Business Management, Finance, or related disciplines preferred.

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in business banking; experience in commercial or SME lending is advantageous.

  • Strong knowledge of commercial credit, products, and services with a solid compliance mindset.

  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.

  • Self-motivated, resilient, customer-centric, and a strong team player.

  • Excellent command of English and Chinese; fluency in Mandarin is an advantage.

  • Insurance licensing (IIQE Paper 1, 2, 3) holder
