<b>Position Summary</b><br>The CAD Designer is responsible for creating high-quality digital artwork, prints, graphics, and technical layouts that support the seasonal design and product development needs of the U.S. and Hong Kong teams. This role will work cross-functionally with Design, Product Development, and overseas partners to deliver accurate, brand-appropriate CADs that meet aesthetic, technical, and production requirements.<div><br></div><div><b>Key Responsibilities<br>CAD & Artwork Creation</b><br><ol><li>Develop original CAD artwork including prints, patterns, graphics, colorways, stitch layouts (if knitwear), and technical renderings as directed by the U.S. CAD Manager.</li><li>Translate hand sketches or design concepts into fully executed digital artwork.</li><li>Create repeating prints, engineered layouts, and technical CADs with precise measurement and placement accuracy.</li><li>Recolor and modify existing artwork to support merchandising and design needs.</li></ol><b>Cross-Functional Communication</b><br><ol><li>Work closely with the U.S. CAD Manager to align on seasonal direction, priorities, and delivery expectations.</li><li>Communicate daily with the Hong Kong and China design/development teams to ensure artwork is understood and executed correctly.</li><li>Collaborate with Design, Product Development, and Sourcing to troubleshoot issues and achieve intended visual results.</li></ol> <br><b>Qualifications</b><br><ol><li>Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design, Graphic Design, or related field.</li><li>2–4+ years of experience in CAD or textile design within the apparel industry.</li><li>Strong proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop (required).</li><li>Solid understanding of repeat design, color separation, scale, and print development.</li><li>Experience working with overseas factories (especially in China) preferred.</li><li>Excellent attention to detail, organization, and accuracy.</li><li>Ability to work independently in Hong Kong while collaborating virtually with the U.S. CAD Manager and design teams.</li><li>Strong communication skills and ability to work across time zones.</li></ol><b>Preferred Skills</b><br><ol><li>Familiarity with PLM systems.</li><li>Knowledge of knitwear CADs, sweater stitches, or yarn layouts (if applicable).</li><li>Ability to manage multiple projects and shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>Strong sense of color, layout, and commercial design execution.</li></ol></div>
