Job Description
Private Bankers manage ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) client portfolios (HK$200M+ AUM), delivering holistic wealth preservation, growth, and transfer strategies across global assets.
Detailed Responsibilities
Client Acquisition & Management: Source new UHNW clients via networks/referrals; conduct comprehensive financial planning including risk assessment, asset allocation, and multi-generational strategies.
Investment Advisory: Recommend diversified portfolios (equities, fixed income, alternatives, hedge funds, private equity); leverage proprietary research, ESG integration, and alternative investments; monitor/rebalance amid market volatility.
Product Solutions: Structure bespoke offerings like trusts, family offices, philanthropy, art/collectibles advisory, and cross-border RMB solutions; cross-sell lending, FX hedging, and structured products.
Compliance & Reporting: Ensure KYC/AML adherence, suitability assessments, and SFC/HKMA compliance (Types 1/4/9); prepare credit memos and performance reports.
Business Development: Drive AUM growth through client events, seminars, and referrals; collaborate with investment/trust teams.
Key Requirements & Qualifications
Bachelor's/Master's in Finance/Economics; CFA/CPA/CFP/CPWP essential.
5-8+ years private banking with proven UHNW track record (HK$200M+ portfolios).
Deep product expertise (Bloomberg, capital markets); trilingual (English/Mandarin/Cantonese).
SFC RA licensed; exceptional relationship skills, discretion, and resilience.
Client will consider retail banker from tier 1 retail bank in HK.
