Job Summary:
Dream Impact is seeking an energetic, proactive, and caring individual to serve as the face of DI as Community & Events Manager. The role involves growing our community of 100+ founders through: marketing products/services online/offline, managing social media, communicating with members, overseeing onboarding and user journey (quarterly check-ins, membership renewals), organizing monthly community events, connecting partners for collaborations, managing ambassadors/community builders to co-create events, and raising awareness about the Dream Impact community.
As Community & Events Manager, you’ll take ownership in our mission-driven business, balancing strategic leadership with hands-on execution, offering opportunities for professional growth while making a meaningful impact.
You’ll work closely with the DI community, reporting directly to the Co-Founder & Chief Catalyst to align with our vision and foster cross-team collaboration.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
-Internal Communications & Connection Facilitation
-Communicate community updates (e.g., event invites, new policies, ecosystem resources) to 100+ impact partners
-Manage our WhatsApp community channels
-Events Planning and Execution
-Build a quarterly event calendar engaging all stakeholders:
-Current members: Lunch-and-learn sessions, appreciation events (happy hours, themed parties, etc.)
-Potential members: Lead-generation and sales-related events
-Local community: Engage external organizers to use our event space
-Develop and execute event strategies aligned with community goals
-Set event dates, times, and pricing to meet member needs
-Invite speakers; identify partnership/sponsorship opportunities
-Oversee ticketing processes and create promotional codes
-Manage on-site logistics for smooth event execution
-Conduct post-event surveys for feedback and improvement
-Collect and share event photos/videos
-Facilitate event invitations, membership sign-ups, and newsletter distribution
-Community Management and Development
-Manage member onboarding and user journey (quarterly check-ins, membership renewals)
-Plan/launch community events/initiatives to connect members (targeted introductions, mentor matches, -networking events, internal communications)
-Understand business needs and personal objectives of tenant organizations/members
-Facilitate and nurture impactful relationships within the community
-Resolve member conflicts promptly and de-escalate tensions
-Strategically plan to create community value and collaborate on implementation with the team
-Design and Community Branding
-Create simple designs for event materials (invitations, posters, promotions)
-Develop engaging social media content (photos/videos), including reels highlighting event highlights
-Share event details/community updates across social platforms to boost visibility/engagement
-Customer Relationship Management
-Direct potential, new, and existing customers to relevant team members
-Ambassadorship
-Conduct tours for potential members
-Ensure new members align with DI’s culture
-Maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders
-Manage community P&L
-Space Enhancement Recommendations
-Propose new features/perks to attract members
Experience, Requirements, and Preferences
-Fluent in Cantonese and English; Mandarin proficiency is a plus
-Open to all educational backgrounds and experiences
-Skills in photo/video shooting, editing, and graphic design
-Experience in corporate communications and event coordination
-Experience in event marketing and sales
-Passion for social entrepreneurial communities and working with people
