The Role
We are expanding our international market presence and seeking a dynamic Sales Manager to drive global business development. Given the specialized nature of odd-form automation, we welcome experienced industrial equipment sales professionals from adjacent sectors rather than limiting the search to niche specialists. You will leverage your existing manufacturing industry relationships to introduce a unique automation solution that eliminates labor-intensive manual insertion.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute sales strategies for assigned international markets (priority: Southeast Asia, India, Eastern Europe, Mexico, North America), targeting EMS factories, automotive tier-1/2 suppliers, power supply manufacturers, and appliance/industrial control producers;
Identify prospects with significant manual through-hole insertion operations and articulate the productivity, quality, and labor-cost ROI of automating odd-form component placement;
Build distributor and agent networks in key regions to accelerate market penetration.
Conduct technical consultations and on-site/virtual demonstrations, collaborating with application engineers to design customized automation solutions;
Manage complete sales cycle: lead generation → technical qualification → commercial proposal → negotiation → contract execution → after-sales coordination;
Represent TUNGSON at international exhibitions (e.g., Productronica, NEPCON, IPC APEX EXPO, electronica) and travel overseas for client meetings and channel partner training;
Analyze regional market dynamics in PCB assembly automation and advise on localization strategies.
Candidate Profile
We prioritize sales capability and manufacturing industry insight over specific product knowledge—comprehensive technical training on odd-form insertion technology will be provided.
Sales Experience : 4+ years in B2B capital equipment sales within electronics manufacturing, industrial automation, or precision machinery . Relevant backgrounds include:
SMT/PCBA equipment (soldering, inspection, coating, testing);
Semiconductor packaging or assembly automation;
Other industrial automation (robotics, machine vision, precision assembly);
Electronic component handling or testing systems;
Industry Acumenand THT through-hole insertion), EMS manufacturing models, or electronics contract manufacturing pain points;
International Network: Established relationships with overseas electronics manufacturers, particularly in automotive electronics, power supplies, industrial controls, or major appliance production, or proven ability to develop distributor channels in target regions;
Commercial Skills: Consultative selling approach with experience in technical solution sales; comfortable selling productivity-enhancing equipment to operations and engineering managers;
Mobility & Language: Business-professional English mandatory; additional regional languages (German, Spanish, Japanese, Thai, Vietnamese, etc.) highly valued. Willingness to travel internationally;
Location: Flexible base in Hong Kong (preferred for international logistics) or Mainland China (Dongguan/Shenzhen/Guangzhou region), with cross-border work flexibility.
