The Opportunity

This is a rare leadership opportunity to serve as the founding executive for one of the fastest-growing fintech markets in Southeast Asia. As Vietnam Country Manager, you will have full P&L responsibility and the autonomy to build, lead, and scale our supply chain finance operations in Vietnam. You will leverage the group’s established market leadership, proprietary AI and blockchain platforms, and strong institutional backing to capture significant market share in a rapidly digitizing economy.

This role is ideal for a senior leader who combines deep expertise in supply chain finance and international factoring with the entrepreneurial drive to establish a business from the ground up. You will work closely with regional leadership and global stakeholders, while operating as the face of the organization in Vietnam—building relationships with core enterprises, government bodies, and strategic partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership: Define and execute the Vietnam subsidiary’s overall strategy, ensuring alignment with the group’s regional and global objectives. Develop and implement annual business plans with clear revenue, profitability, and growth targets.

• Business Development & Market Expansion: Drive client acquisition by identifying and securing partnerships with core enterprises, financial institutions, and corporate clients requiring supply chain finance solutions. Establish a robust pipeline and scale the local client base.

• Operational Excellence: Oversee day-to-day operations, optimizing processes to enhance efficiency, risk management, and profitability. Ensure the effective deployment of the group’s fintech platforms in the local market.

• Stakeholder & Government Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with government authorities, industry associations, regulators, and key ecosystem partners. Navigate the local regulatory landscape to ensure compliance and favorable business conditions.

• Team Leadership & Development: Recruit, lead, and mentor a high-performing local management team. Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and cross-functional collaboration.

• International Collaboration: Act as a key liaison between the Vietnam operation and regional/global teams, driving synergies across markets and contributing to the group’s broader international expansion strategy.

Qualifications & Experience

• Education: Bachelor’s degree or above; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

• Experience: Minimum 10 years of relevant industry experience, with at least 5 years in a senior executive or country management role within financial services, fintech, banking, or supply chain finance.

• Industry Expertise: Deep knowledge of international factoring, supply chain finance, and fintech platform operations. Demonstrated ability to structure and execute complex commercial deals.

• Vietnam Market Acumen: Proven track record of operating in Vietnam with a strong understanding of the local business environment, regulatory framework, and cultural nuances. Existing networks with core enterprises, financial institutions, or government bodies are highly advantageous.

• Language: Fluent in English, Vietnamese and Chinese Mandarin.

• Leadership Capabilities: Exceptional leadership and team-building skills, with experience managing cross-functional teams and driving organizational change.

• Risk & Decision-Making: Strong risk management mindset with the ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

• Cross-Cultural Agility: Demonstrated success in working across cultures and managing complex stakeholder relationships in international contexts.
